Ron Johnson
President
Champion Signs
Since purchasing Champion Signs in 2003, Ron Johnson has contributed his extensive finance, accounting and management skills to help further the advancement and expansion of the company. Johnson’s comprehensive understanding of the finance industry has helped to establish Champion Signs as a significant player within Southern California’s real estate and commercial signage industries and has contributed to a 40% growth for the company. Johnson currently serves as president of Champion Signs.
As president, Johnson oversees all departments, including management, sales, customer service, production, design and the company’s extensive fleet of sign installation and removal vehicles. He also evaluates all business opportunities and provides effective strategic direction to ensure continued company growth. In addition, he collaborates with all departments to ensure unparalleled customer service and product quality.
The most significant portion of Johnson’s responsibilities includes financial strategic planning, including approval and implementation of all business management decisions. He begins this process with an analysis of how the company as a whole will be affected and then carries that analysis through to the individual customer. This customer consideration is a part of his personal goal to establish outcomes that are a “win-win” situation for all parties involved.
A certified public accountant and real estate broker since 1993, Johnson nurtured his career by working for big four accounting firms, KPMG and Ernst & Young as a tax consultant specializing in real estate, business evaluation and tax structuring. Since 1998, Johnson has served as CFO of Nicol Investment Company, where he controls and oversees all financial aspects of this privately-owned, real estate investment company.
Johnson, husband and father of two, earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration in 1992 from San Diego State University and his Masters of Business in 2006. |
